FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How does BuzzCheck work?

BuzzCheck measures the alcohol in your breath and converts it into an estimated blood alcohol concentration (BAC). Turn it on, wait for the countdown, blow steadily into the mouthpiece for about 5 seconds, and read your result on the display.

How accurate is it?

BuzzCheck is designed for personal awareness, not professional or legal use. Readings are estimates and can be affected by recent drinks, mouthwash, food or smoking. For best results, wait at least 20 minutes after your last drink before testing.

Can I use it to decide if I can drive?

No. Never use BuzzCheck to decide whether it is safe or legal to drive. The only safe amount of alcohol when driving is zero. If you've been drinking, take a taxi, rideshare or public transport.

Can my friends use it too?

Yes — every BuzzCheck comes with 5 replaceable plastic mouthpieces so you can share it hygienically. Replace the mouthpiece between users.

What batteries does it use?

3 × AAA batteries, included in the box. You can replace them with any standard AAA batteries.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the device with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Don't rinse it under water. Mouthpieces can be washed with warm soapy water or replaced.

Where do you ship?

Australia-wide, plus selected international destinations (US, UK, EU, NZ, Canada and more). See our Shipping & Returns page for details.
